Our demographic is typically people in their 20s and 30s, with most attendees sitting between 25 and 35. 

We run events specifically for straight, sapphic, gay, pansexual/bisexual and queer folks. Sometimes we run other specialty events too. If you want a say in what we do next, be sure to follow us + respond to call-outs and polls.

All our events are open to non-monogamous + trans/non binary people.

If you’re straight, you’ll need to bring a friend of a different gender if you wanna book without going on a waitlist. Text your winning wingman, housemate, hottest match, work bestie, cute neighbour, cousin or least problematic ex and tell them they’re needed!

By having everyone come with friends we find it’s a much better atmosphere, that’s a lot less school prom and a lot more flirty who-knows-where-the-night-will-go bar. It also helps us throw bigger events which means more chances for you to meet someone you spark with.

If you’ve tried your darndest but can't find a wingperson, hit ‘join waitlist’ next to your ticket type and we’ll shoot you an email if we can squeeze you in.

Tickets are scaled between $0 and $30, without any drinks included. We prioritise as-affordable-as-possible ticket pricing over free drinks, having not raised our ticket prices since Cake Wines was a thing.

That said, we almost always run a competition on the night where you can win a bar tab or bottle of wine to take home.

Sometimes, yes! If you wanna try your luck, simply show up no later than half an hour after the advertised start time and be prepared to hang around for a bit while we count our chickens. We only suggest this if you live close by, since we can't promise anything.

Remember that everyone's a bit nervous and it's most people's first time speed dating, so we're all in this together! If you can try not to ask “So, what do you do?” over and over, you’ll probably have a better experience, but you can also just go with the flow. Travel, food and experiences are always good topics!

There’s no limit to how many people you can say yes to and 89% of our attendees get at least one match. You write your yesses on a card during the event and then hand this to your host at the end. Matches are sent out within 48 hours of the event wrapping, so keep an eye on your emails 👀

We regularly host Q&A sessions on our socials. You can even write us anonymously if you’re feeling shy. Be sure to have a read through the highlight of past Qs before submitting ~ your answer might already be there!
