it all started with an ugly jumper
Dear Pluto host small-scale events for young creatives.
Founder Emma Daniels launched the brand in 2008 with monthly vintage sales from Sydney's Hibernian House. Following a stint in Europe, and inspired by the multi-use spaces of Berlin, in 2010 Emma took over an old coach house in a Surry Hills laneway, from where she broadened Dear Pluto's range of events to include makers markets, workshops, exhibitions, talks and speed dating parties. Although Dear Pluto no longer has a permanent space, preferring to utilise Sydney warehouses and odd spots, they continue to offer a range of events and recently expanded their speed dating parties to Melbourne.
Through their events, Dear Pluto aim to promote a slower way of living, making thoughtful purchases and ditching the swipe, whilst keeping everything they do accessible, novel and most importantly, fun.
Whether you’re looking to meet some amazing babes, find a unique gift or learn something new, Dear Pluto have you covered.
